October was a hard month for me (switch I will explain in another post) but I had time with a friend to head to this farm. It was the cutiest farm I’ve been to in awhile and was excited. Most of the things were closed due to COVID but the store was open so I supported them a great deal! I got muffins, donuts, apple cider, candy and more. My friend also spent some money there in order to help a small business. It was so cute and extremely nice to get out of the house. Springridge Farm is located in Milton (7256 Bell School Line, Milton, ON L9E 0N7) so if you’re in the area go check it out!
HP Pavillion X360
I’m sure I’ve already written about this in previous posts but for this month I was thankfull for my laptop because I was using it A LOT. It’s been clutch for me and I try to take care of it as much as I can. I got this a couple years ago at Best Buy during back to school so there was a sale. It was still expensive but I love HP’s and they’re worth it. If you need a laptop in these crazy times hit up Best Buy! Especially with boxing day coming up!
I got this awhile ago and used it pretty much everyday but now I don’t use it as much but it still lasts you a long time! It stays on for the day unless you’re rubbing your eyes and it has a matte finish. It’s a pretty good eye pencil for beginners or if you just don’t want to break the bank but still have the Sephora quality. You can get this at Sephora for $14.00.
Skin Care Favourite:
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy
I fell in love with First Aid Beauty after I got the cream in a Sephora Favourites kit and decided to try the lip repair because Winter is fast approaching in Canada which makes everything dry. I was impressed with it in with it moisturizing my lips but it doesn’t last as long as a regular Chapstick would. It tube itself lasts a long time because its thick and you don’t need a lot. You can get this at Sephora for $15.00.
Hair Care Favourite:
Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner
As you all know I’ve written about Olaplex before, you can see the first part that I wrote in my February Favourites 2018. Well Olaplex has now come out with steps No. 4 and No. 5. The No. 4 is the Shampoo, you can use this as an everyday shampoo or you can save it for when you do step No. 3. The shampoo helps repair, strengthen and hydrate all types of hair while cleaning it at the same time. No. 5 is the conditioner, it also repairs, strengthens and hydrates all types of hair while adding shine. The conditioner is extremely thick so I wouldn’t recommend putting it on your roots or they make get greasy. You can get this at any store or salon that sells such products for $28-$30.
Body Favourite:
OFF! Family Care Smooth & Dry Insect Repellent
Now I know this may seem weird to be putting bug spray in a September Favourite blog but in Canada it was in the 30 degrees Celsius and there was so many bugs. I bought a little one from Walmart just to have with me in my purse or car just in case since I’m allergic to mosquitoes. I got this for $6.00.
Home Care Favourite:
HP Pavilion 360
As you know I disappears for awhile and that’s because my laptop crashed and writing on my small tablet wasn’t working for me. I decided to bite the bullet and get a new laptop so I got the HP Pavilion 360, it’s pretty much the new version of the very old one that I had (I’m talking almost 7-8 years). It’s great, it’s quick, small. light, folds back into a tablet mode and it’s touch screen. I got this at Best Buy for $1,000.
Music Favourite:
Jackie Chan by Tiesto, Dzeko feat. Preme and Post Malone
I love finding new lipsticks to try even though I don’t wear it to often, it’s just something good to have around for me; plus when I dress up sometimes I’ll throw a nice lip on. I found Anastasia’s lipstick in the check out line, it came in a mini set of 4 which I fell in love with the spice one! Now I’ve heard that the lipstick ‘flaked’ off but I haven’t had that problem with this. It is matte so it does tend to dry out your lips but I find that happens with all matte lipsticks. You can get this at Sephora for $23.00.
Skin Care Favourite:
Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel
Our skin constantly changing and it’s a pain in the butt. As most of you know I have dry, sensitive skin so finding products that work for me is a challenge. I once again changed my skin care routine (which a new post is coming!) because my skin changed again. I got this a mini tester almost but I decided to give it a shot since I’ve heard good things from this brand. I love it, it doesn’t irritate my skin, doesn’t dry it out, it’s just perfectly clean. I liked it so much I used the small bottle and now I’m on to the big bottle. You can get this at Sephora for $37.00.
Hair Care Favourite:
Aveda Dry Remedy Moisturizing Masque
This is an intense moisturizing masque that uses buriti oil to help put hydration back into the hair. This is a part of Aveda’s Dry Remedy line, they have mulitple lines for different needs. I used this when I was a lifeguard since the chlorine just ruins your hair and now I use it because I bleach my hair. With Aveda a little goes a long way so this bottle will last you a long time. You can get this at Aveda stores or salons for $47.00.
Body Favourite:
Fitbit Versa
Yup! I’m one of those people! I bought the special edition because why not? My Fitbit was breaking and being weird so I got fed up and bought the new Versa. Now I’m not going to go into great detail because I want to do a review on it (coming soon) but I will say that I love it but at the same time was disappointed. I will explain in my upcoming review! You can get this at Best Buy, Fitbit store, electronic stores near you for $229.95 USD.
Home Favourite:
Bionaire Ultra Thin Window Fan
Summer is around the corner, well in Canada we actually had a week of summer already, and not having AC sucks! I’ve had this fan for a couple years now and it’s the bomb.com. You can use this fan two ways: 1. Have the fans push the hot air out of your room to outside. 2. Have the fan suck the cold air into your room. How do you do this? Turn the fan around depending on which way you want it. On hot days I set it up to have the hot air sucked out of my room and by the time I come home from work my room isn’t as hot as it would be with nothing. Now it’s not as good at an AC but it works, my room isn’t that big so there’s point to get an AC. You can get this at Walmart for $50.00.
Music Favourite:
Meant to Be by Bebe Rexha feat. Florida Georgia Line
I was on Sephora’s virtual artist app on their website trying on lipstick when this one came up, I just had to have it but sadly this shade wasn’t sold in stores. I waited for awhile until one day I just decided to get it – I’m absolutely in love with this lipstick. It’s matte, it doesn’t dry up your lips, it stays on for a long time and it’s bold just like it says. I got this at Sephora for $28.00.
Skin Care Favourite:
Clinique Liquid Facial Soap – Mild
With being Canadian and Winters being cold our skin changes all the time, I use to use the Foaming Facial Soap but my skin gets extremely dry in the Winter so I had to switch it up! It’s the same as the Foaming one only, this one is a liquid and it’s way more mild – meaning it won’t add to my already dry skin. I got this at Sephora for $24.00.
Hair Favourite:
Olaplex
When we colour or thermal style our hair we end up breaking the bonds, Olaplex is a 3 step process that restores the compromised hair. No. 1 Bond Multiplier – in salon service that rebuilds disulfide bonds and starts the process to preventing damage. No. 2 Bond Protector – step two in salon service that continues to rebuild and restore broken bonds which makes strong, healthy hair. No. 3 Hair Perfector – at home bottle that ensures the bonds stay healthy and strong.
I recently did a lift and tone on myself (bleached out my whole head) and Olaplex saved my hair! It actually works and can be used with any colour line. This however, will not get rid of split ends – the ONLY thing that gets rid of split ends is a HAIR CUT! If you are a license hair stylist you can get this at Cosmoprof but if you’re just your average Jo find a salon near you that does this service!
Body Favourite:
Sephora Foot Masks
I wrote about the hand mask before and was impressed, now I’m writing about the foot mask because I’m impressed! My boyfriend has the worst feet I’ve seen and I made him do this mask. Now it didn’t get rid of the super hard skin he has from wearing steel toe boots all day but the rest of his feet were hydrated and soft which even he liked! Ladies, if you want your man to start taking care of his feet, this is a good place to start! I got this at Sephora for $6.00.
Home Favourite:
Google Home Mini
I actually got this as a secret Santa gift at Christmas from a coworker. As you’ve seen on the commericals you say, “hey google” or “ok google” then say a commands, such as, “What’s the weather outside?” It will then proceed to tell you the weather in your city. There’s 100’s of commands that you can find online, my personal favourite is tell me a joke! You can get this a different stores depending where you’re located, but in Canada Best Buy has it for $80.00.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner
I actually got this eyeliner as a Sephora birthday gift but I gave it a try and fell in love with it, it’s one of the best crayon eyeliners I’ve used. It goes on smoothly and has a great finish to it. You can get this at Sephora for $31.00.
Skin Care Favourite:
Clinique Foaming Sonic Facial Soap
I recently changed my face wash routine because as I wrote before my skin must have changed because what I was using before wasn’t working anymore. I decided to try clinique, this is their foaming face wash, my face has never felt so damn clean. Using this with the brush just makes your face feel amazing. You can get this at Sears for $24.00.
Hair Care Favourite:
Aveda Thermal Dry Conditioner
I wrote about how Aveda released a dry shampoo that I used a lot while I was in school. Towards the end of school they also released a dry conditioner, for those of you who use dry shampoo and restyle your hair, this product is for you. Dry shampoo is for the roots to soak up the oils but when we restyle our hair what is protecting the ends from the heat tools we always use? Nothing. Aveda came up with just that, it detangles, conditions and is a heat protector for your mids and ends! It smells amazing, like the Aveda Shampure scent and doesn’t leave your ends looking dirty. You can get this at Aveda for $31.00.
Body Favourite:
Bitter Sweet Rose Gold Plated Sterling Silver Ring
It will kill me to write about this because I know this place will get more popular. Bitter Sweet is an amazing place to get jewellery, I’ve been getting my earrings from here for years but recently they stepped up their game and got even better products. This is a recent ring I got that matches my earrings for my birthday. You can get these at Bitter Sweet for $78.00.
Home Favourite:
WonderBoom Waterproof Bluetooth Wireless Speaker
My amazing boyfriend got me this speaker for my birthday, I’ve always wanted one and he was thoughtful enough to get me one. It’s actually amazing, it comes in multiple colours, it’s waterproof, wireless, the sound is clear and you control it with you phone or ipod. You can get this at Best Buy for $129.99.
Music Favourite:

Random Favourite:
FitBit Aria
My amazing Mum and Step Dad got me this scale for my birthday (I asked for it). I have a FitBit and wear it everyday, I try to track my food everyday but I wanted to track my weight aswell. Once I’ve used it more and more I will write a full review like I did for my FitBit. You can get this at Best Buy for $129.99.
Now I know I wrote about a different mascara before but I wanted to try something new and fell in love with this one. Dior mascara is a little bit on the expensive side but it works like a charm. My eyelashes are a little bit long so when I apply this I need to do a tiny clean up job. It goes on extremely easy but it’s difficult to come off. It doesn’t make your eyelashes clump together, they will still feel like you normal soft lashes. When taking this off you will 100% need a good eye make up remover, but that’s the best part about this product – you pay a lot of money for waterproof and you expect it to stay on. You can get this at Sephora for $31.00.
Skin Care Favourite:
Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips
With my new mascara I needed to get a great make up remover. I wrote a post on my Facebook asking all the ladies which one I should try, a lot of people said Avon and make up wipes but I don’t have an “Avon person” and I want something stronger than wipes. My mum came home with a sample she got, so I gave it a try. This worked like a charm, the make up came right off. You do have to give your face a rinse after because it is oil but your eyelashes are the same, like you never had make up on. You can get this product at Sephora for $22.00 but I’m sure other stores have this.
Hair Care Favourite:
Goody TangleFix – Bright
My friend had one of these at work and I’ve seen them online before. The chlorine dries out my hair, which makes it get tangle easily. Normal brushes hurt and hard to get the knots out, this brush works with my hair so it’s not pulling. It gets the knots out well, the only problem I have with it is, it’s not a styling brush. I found when I used it it makes my curly hair go straight and puffy. That’s fine when I’m at work because most likely I’ll be going back into the water but if you were to use it at home before you go out it wouldn’t be ideal. You can get the Goody brush at Walmart for $5.00 – $6.00.
Body Favourite:
Dynamite Cami with Buttons – Black
I wrote about this shirt in a different colour on my Spring Much Haves. Well I bought it! It really is comfortable, it has adjustable straps and of course the buttons on the front. You can dress this shirt up or down for whatever the occasion is. You can get this shirt/cami at Dynamite for $24.95.
Home Favourite:
Google Chromecast
I originally bought this so I could put the movies and shows I watch on Showbox onto my TV because I was getting tired of holding up my tablet for two hours. When I got it, it was easy to set up but connecting my Showbox to Chromecast was a whole different story.
The latest Showbox update prevents you from using Chromecast, it asks you to download some MX player, I tried, it was a pointless circle of downloading the same player. I looked on good old Reddit, they told me to download a program called Growbox, it acts as the MX player but without having to download a million things and still no connection to Chromecast. Growbox works, and now my Chromecast it awesome again.
If you have one of the new Blue Ray players that has YouTube, Netflix and all those extras and don’t use Showbox or watch movies online then this product wouldn’t be ideal for you since it does the exact same thing as the Blue Ray player. If you do watch movies online and use Showbox then this product is for you!
You can get the Chromecast at Best Buy for $39.00.

Every Other Freckle by alt-J
My boyfriend told me about this song, he likes it because I have freckles. There’s actually two versions of the music video, a girl version and a guy version. I posted the girl version. Listen to it and let me know what you think!
Random Favourite:
Brita Hard Sided Bottle
I don’t like the taste of water, I think it has a weird taste to it. I needed something that would help because water is good for you and lets face it, you need to drink it. My whole family uses Brita, even my cat prefers Brita water! There’s actually two different types, a soft sided and hard sided water bottle. The soft one is a squeeze bottle and the hard one is pretty much a straw. These bottles are great because they limit the amount of plastic bottles we use since they are reusable. The hard one is the bottle I own, you can get it at Walmart for $15.00.
I believe I got this for Christmas 2 years agao and I still have it and lots of it. It’s not an everyday make up routine, maybe once a week. I tend to use it whenever I have chapped lips that just started to get bad. It’s great because it gets rid of all the dead skin and your lips start to feel good again. You can get this product at Sephora for $21.00.
Skin Care Favourite
Dove Revive Dry Spray Antiperspirant
I saw all the commercials for this new product and I wanted to try it out for myself. I use the normal Dove deodorants so I’m familiar with the company, I must say I’m pretty impressed. It smells great and you don’t have to worry about those clumps that can happen. Now the bottle says it’s 48 hour protection – that’s a straight up lie – it works like your normal deodorant, you’re gonna have to reapply. You can get it at any local store that sells beauty supplies, mine was roughly $6.00.
Hair Care Favourite
Organix Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Extra Penetrating Oil (Dry and Coarse Hair)
I got this because we all know I work in a pool and it kills my hair. I’ve been using this for about 2 years now and love it, you don’t need a lot, maybe a little drop, rub it in your hands than put it in your hair. I mostly put it in the ends because that’s where it gets the worst. You can put too much in your hair and make your hair greasy looking. You can get this at any beauty supply/drug store roughly for $6.00 to $7.00.
Body Favourite
St. Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter Hydrating Body Wash
So the story with this one was I ran out of body wash at my boyfriend’s house and forgot to buy more. When I was in the shower one of the roommates body wash was there. She’s my friend so I just used a little bit. It made my body feel so soft and clean, I went home and bought some for myself; and it smell pretty good too. The best part is after I come out of the chlorine and I use this my skin isn’t dry and itchy anymore. I got this at Target for $4.00.

Girls’ Night Out Sangria – Flavoured Wine
My good friend decided that she was going to have a wine and cheese night, and I’m not much of a wine drinker but I do love sangria. My boyfriend got me hooked on it, anyways, I started looking online and I know the Girls’ Night Out brand is pretty good. I found sangria flavoured wine! It’s pretty damn good, I shared it with my family before the wine and cheese night, and we finished the bottle pretty damn fast. In the summer you can totally put it in a jug, cut some fruit up and sit outside with it. It is definitely a good starter wine. Here in Canada we have a alcohol store called the LCBO, you can get it there for $8.95.

This song is mostly know from the show The OC, all their soundtracks are amazing! I was obsessed with this song when I first heard it and I’m glad I found it again. Let me know if you like it!

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Polaroid Camera – Black
I’ve wanted this camera for years but it’s so popular and kind of hard to find. My sister found it for me and gave it to my for Christmas. The pictures are smaller than normal Polaroid cameras you grew up with or that your parents had but you can get a camera with that size film. The camera is $99.99 at Best Buy, it comes with 2 film packs (20 pictures), the only problem is finding more film, they sell out fast and cost $12.00-$21.00. You also can only get photo albums for it on Ebay right now, they haven’t gotten that for, nor do I think they will. They seem to focus on the cameras only. It is still an amazing and fun camera, old things are coming back!
Alright and that’s it for February Favourites, let me know what you think of my products or tell me what your favourites were this month.
