COVID-19 Layoff: Day Ninety & Ninety-One

Day 90:

Welcome to day 90, pretty much 3 months of quarentine.

I woke up feeling pretty good and productive as I tidied up a bit, attempted to get Drax into the bath – that was a BIG no go. He is too smart for his own good, he knew exactly what I was trying to do and just wasn’t having it. He ran away, I tried carrying him but he’s like 95-100lbs so that wasn’t happening. He won that battle but I trimmed his nails instead which he lets me do no problem. BUT once Dave got home Drax can’t run away from Daddy! Drax got in the bath and got a good washing because he was stinky!

The rest of the day was just hanging out until Dave came home but then we just hung out again. I did get a workout in and now I’m sore AF.

Day 91:

I woke up so tired but I worked myself out of it and decided to ask Amanda if she wanted to go to Toronto Premium Outlet mall. Since I go back to work soon I needed to get shirts and a pair of jeans, plus it was just nice to get out of the house and walk around.

I only went to a couple of stores but I found that there wasn’t very good deals. Most things were full price and most things were the same, like if one store at a jean jacket they all had a jean jacket that looks the same. We had fun though, it was beautiful out and we got Freshii for lunch which I haven’t had in forever!

I came home and for some reason my head started to kill and it never went away, then I was in a bad mood and just wanted to be left alone. Dave and I had dinner and eventually we watched a old movie about baseball called Rookie of the Year. It was cute.

That was it, after the movie I showered and went to bed. I didn’t do a workout yesterday so I have to make it up tomorrow.

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Eighty-Six & Eighty-Seven

Day 86:

Welp this day was a bust.

I was home alone and I honestly didn’t do much. I obviously walked Drax a bunch but most of my day was pretty much watching Netflix and eating a shit ton of strawberries.

Eventually I did go to my Mum’s house to cut my step-dads hair which was nice to get out and actually do what my job is. I hung out with them for a bit then went home to make dinner.

For dinner I made chicken stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in prosciutto with some side rice. Damn was it good and damn was it filling. Now Amanda wants to makes it for family dinner so we shall do that!

Not much else happened I was tired and sore so Dave and I hung out and relaxed for the night.

Day 87:

Today was a good day, Dave went to his mum’s grocery store to pick up a few things then we’ll probably do our regular grocery shopping tomorrow.

My sister and I hung out today, we drove to Spirit Tree to pick up some stuff which I completely forgot my mask since I’ve been in my quarantine bubble but we figured it out.

After we drove to Orangeville to go Philadelphia Kitchen sandwich which I haven’t had in forever. We ate in my car and had a nice time. Once we finished stuffing our faces we headed back home but stopped at Ace Hardware to see if they had bird stuff for my Dad for Father’s Day. They did and we got it so he’s done. Now just got to work on my step-dads gift, we have ideas though!

After we left Ace Hardware I realized there was chocolate on my seat from the bite if brownie I had and asked my sister if there was chocolate on my ass, of course there was and she rubbed it off for me using the Lysol wipes that I had in my trunk. I walked around all day with chocolate on my ass🤦‍♀️.

We drove home, watched a movie then my sister went home and Dave and I had dinner. The rest is the same as every other night!

I’m off to bed now!

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Seventy-Six & Seventy-Seven

Day Seventy-Six:

Welcome to another not so interesting boring day. I didn’t do much needless to say, I didn’t even work out!

The only interesting thing that happened yesterday was the crazy thunderstorm we had and I took a mini time laspe of it.

This is also why I didn’t have a blog, because I stayed up late, didn’t wash my hair and went to bed!

Day Seventy-Seven:

Another not so interesting day! The weather was weird today, I woke up and it was cloudy and windy with some chances of some rain. All of the sudden its sunny, humid and hot. Hot enough that Drax didn’t want to go on walks. Tomorrow morning I’m hoping he wakes me up early enough that we get a long one in before it gets too hot.

Today I did do a work out and I died. It was on resistance band workout, I didn’t think it was going to be that bad since the last one I did wasn’t that hard, apparently the last one I did was a shit workout!

So I do have a rant today, just a small rant, that I really shouldn’t since I know people are working very hard. Canada Post messed with my emotions. I ordered stuff from Gymshark, it said it was out to be delivered which made me very excited because I have nothing else to do. It didn’t come and when I checked later on it said deliever date pending and it was all of the sudden back at the postal facility. I was excited it was coming but now I don’t know what’s going on. ALSO I ordered The Body Shop a week before Gymshark and I don’t even have shipping for that! I know, I know, I shouldn’t be complaining at all. Just a small rant of playing with my emotions. I thank Canada Post workers big time and I know you’re all very busy and short staffed! We love you.

That’s all I have for today.

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Seventy-One & Seventy-Two

Day Seventy-One:

This day was pretty uneventful. My morning routine was pretty much the same with walking Drax and attempting to eat healthy. I did have a doctors appointment so I got ready for that, mask in hand and drove. I ended up being 30mins early because normally the road the doctor is on is ususal extremely busy but now in the pandemic is kinda busy. Anyways I sat in the car just chilling until it started to rain so I decided to put my mask on and head in. It was a quick trip, in and out and I was on my way!

I came home to Dave and Drax laying in bed so I laid down with them and we laughed at Tik Tok videos, I don’t make them I just watch them if you were curious.

I waited all day to get the motivation to work out and I finally did but it was at the end of the day and I was distracted so it wasn’t the best workout. I ordered some cute stuff from Gymshark since my resistance bands are awful, I’m excited for those to show up. That was pretty much it!

Day Seventy-Two:

This morning routine was all messed up! Dave didn’t start work until later so Drax woke him up and he took him out earlier than I normally would. Eventually I woke up, ate breakfast and decided to take Drax on a long walk, it’s about 2k. When we got back Drax pretty much just hung out and so did I until Dave came home.

I again was having trouble with the motivation so I waited until 730pm ish to start my workout, I did glutes and abs and now my butt cheeks hurt! That’s a good thing though! Dave and I started to watch Space Force and made dinner which I snacked too much yesterday but that’s okay, it’s only my first week.

Dave ended up falling asleep on the couch and I was tired too so we went to bed early (we’re getting old).

There was a creepy storm here though.

My friend who faces the other way told me the sky looked black so I went onto my balcony to see. It was pretty cool to watch but the storm was lame, my dog wasn’t even scared.

That’s it, that’s all!

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Fifty-Six

Good evening!

This morning Dave and I cleaned the whole apartment because, well, we have a dog. Enough said. Drax was walked a bunch which made Dave and I compare steps and try to beat eachother – he has yet to beat me.

Cleaning was pretty much the highlight of my day, which I don’t know what that says about the day. I went over fiances which is a pain but whatever, played Animal Crossing, walked Drax, and watched Upload on Amazon Prime.

Upload is actually a good show, Dave’s brother suggested we watch it. It’s about if you die or were injured would you choose the way we do things now, surgery and hope you survive or your conscious gets uploaded to a virual heaven so you can live forever and family and friends can still see you. Which would you do? Go watch it!

Dave got the call that he goes to work again on Tuesday so I’ll be all on my own starting then. I feel like I’m going to be so bored all by myself so I’m going to have to get creative and motivated.

So remember how I got burnt like a week ago? Well my burnt is now itchy AF and peeling like CRAZY. One part of my shoulder still hurts but I’m sure it’ll go away. With the nice weather coming this weekend I definitely need to wear sunscreen!

That’s all for today!

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Fifty-Five

I could not keep my eyes open last night!

I didn’t write last night because I was SO tired, the night before I didn’t sleep well so it hit me like a brick last night. Yesterday was a typical boring day, the weather was chilly again but not too bad.

Dave and I didn’t do much, we did watch the Purge: Election Year. Dave is scared of horror/thriller movies but one day he randomly put on The Purge tv show and he was fine with it. I told him we should watch all the movies that go with it, it took him awhile but eventually he did it. Election Year is the third movie so I believe there is one more then the new one comes out possible. I’m not sure!

After the movie my neighbour and I hand dinner! We always have these salads that are yummy so we said we’d have a salad night. It’s spinach, broccoli, red onion, green peppers, hard boiled egg, and usual chicken but last night we had salmon, oh you you can’t forget the dressing but I can’t remember what goes in it. It’s yummy.
The rest of the night was just drinking and chatting while entertaining Drax since I deicided to bring him along.

This quarantine is definitely messing with dogs because Drax is extremely whiney and I’ve heard of other people’s dogs being the same way. Thankfully Dave is going back to work next week so that is a start to getting back to normal. If I got out that means Drax gets a break from both of us and gets use to being alone again. Slowly life is getting back to normal!

After dinner I went to bed becaue I couldn’t stay away anymore. I couldn’t believe how tired I was last night, but now I’m nice and refreshed!

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Fifty-Four

Merry May!

As my Mum said this morning because we woke up to snow and a migraine! Today was back to being lazy-ish. I did do laundry and dishes but the rest of the day was attempting to watch tv while Dave put together his fish tank.

I did go over Dave’s budget to see how he’s doing in the two days that I gave it to him. He’s pretty much spent his smoking budget and there’s still two more weeks of May left but the rest he has done pretty good so far.

I wanted to make banana bread today but my head hurt too much and didn’t want to move. Maybe tomorrow will be a bread making day because why not? Honestly not much else was done today, especially since Mother’s day was yesterday, I’m just old and tired!

That’s all for today, hope everyone had a good and safe day.

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Fifty-Three

Happy Mother’s Day!

My sister, step-dad and I had a plan to surprise my mum! Couple weeks ago my sister and I decided to order my mum the body shop mother’s Day tote bag!

It’s filled with all these awesome products, which my family loves a good Body Shop product! So it’s a good one and the bag is actually really cute.

We also decided to get her a book that she has to fill out. Thought it was just a cool little idea and in the future we’ll get it back.

I then got her a card that is related to toilet paper since there was a toilet paper crisis! My sister and step dad also planned to Swiss Chalet for linner and hang out. It was a good day and a good surprise for my mum.

After I drove to Vaughan to get gas because it was cheaper and I get my reward points for discounted/free gas! Then watched some TV until I fell asleep on the couch 🤦‍♀️.

That’s all for today. How was everyone’s Mother’s Day? Hope they were great.

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Forty-Seven

It was freezing this morning!

Being burnt doesn’t help, I probably felt way colder than I should have. I put aloe on all night, like I mean if I woke up to go to the bathroom I reapplied. It helpes a great deal on the spots that weren’t too bad, now it’s just the bad spots that I’m taking take of. That just happens to be the whole right half of my body!

I don’t know how one day it’s 20 degrees and I’m getting burnt to 5 degrees! It’s crazy but that’s the weather these days and now we may get snow? So I’ve heard. Who knows.

I didn’t do much today since yesterday was a out day. I did do laundry which sucks but it’s done and now I can figure out stuff to do tomorrow that doesn’t involve moving too much. My one leg is the worst, it looks and feels like it’s trying to split. We’ll just keep that nice and moisturized.

That’s pretty much it for today unfortunately today was definitely a boring day and I don’t have much to report. I did watch movies and tv. I watched Space Jam, the next 2 episodes of The Last Dance and then Transformers. Now I’m in bed.

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Forty-Six

Summer is near!

You know how I know? I’m burnt to a crisp.

This morning Dave and I went to Walmart to get a bin for his hockey gear that I didn’t want on the balcony anymore. Our balcony is narrow but long so we had space but it didn’t look great plus we need to downside in general. I wanted a bin that could fix under our bed which is does so not under our bed is organized and our balcony is slowly getting organized.

After that I visited my mum, step-dad and sister, we sat on the balcony and chatted away to only be burnt to a crisp. My whole left side is burnt, the back of my neck and a little big of my left arm. Both my thighs are burnt but my shins are still white af. This is what happens when I don’t put sunscreen on. I came home to chill, shower and put aloe on but my body absorbs it in 10mins so this should be a good night. I’m definitely going to wake up in the middle of the night to aloe up!

That’s pretty much my day. It was a good one though, the sunshine and seeing family definitely was good on my mental health.

I hope everyone is staying safe.
