Swiffer WetJet Hardwood Floor Spray Mop Starter Kit

Does anyone else hate mop and buckets? They’re awful, you literally just push around dirty water thinking you’re cleaning but when you wipe the floor with a wet paper towel it’s brown! Ew! Everyone who knows me knows I have a dog, a big dog, who I love very much but he’s very dirty! I walk him five times a day so he’s paws make my floors so dirty. My Mum picked this up for me at Walmart for $29.97, when I used it for the first time I mopped maybe the week before thinking my floor was semi-clean. Oh boy, was I wrong! The pad was brown, like the empty pad, not just at the edges. I couldn’t believe how dirty my floors were, even after using it once we noticed our feet and socks were cleaner because it was actually cleaning my floor. Stop using a mop and bucket (unless you spilled alot of water and you’re going to use the Swiffer after to clean the floor), go get yourself one of these and your life will be easier. Now keep in mind, I do only live in a one bedroom apartment, if you live in a 3 bedroom house this may not be the option for you!

Natural Dog Company Paw Soother

My poor dog started to get painful sores in between his toes, we took him to the vet to see what it was. They thought it was a chicken allergy so we switched his food and took antibiotics. The antibiotics were not a guarantee it would clear it up and there was a side effect that made him pee A LOT. Only one mishap inside and the sores cleared up until they came back. They vet gave us medicated wipes that should have helped but his paws just seem to be getting worse. I saw Natural Dog Company on instagram which posted about a dog that looked like was going through the same thing. I instantly bought it and tried it right away. This has been the best product ever as my dogs paws are much better! I use it once a night and it’s been working great. You can get this and other products like it from different stores if you go on their website or you can order online. They have different sizes 1 oz tin for $19, 2 oz tin for $24, 2oz stick for $24, 4oz tin for $36. Check them out!

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Sixty-Nine

Welcome to Day Sixty-Nine!

Dave and I woke up at 5:30am in hopes to buy shoes. Yes, you read that right, to buy shoes. Ben & Jerry’s teamed up with Nike to make a limited edition shoe, it went on sale in Canada this morning at 6am.

Those are the bad ass shoes that we failed to get. In the morning it was looking good, I got onto the site, logged in, pick the size and added them to my cart then all of the sudden something pops up saying enter your phone number and a code will be sent to you as extra security. Bullshit. What happens when you send a million text messages all at once? It gets jammed and that’s exactly what happened. Eventually on my screen it said all sold out so we lost our chance! It sucks but it happens; they sold out in 11mins!

Part of the reason why Dave wanted them was because the shoe box was in the shape of a Ben & Jerry’s pint. The box is now a collectible too! It is pretty good and they were only $135 CAD.

Dave we failed our mission we all went back to bed until Dave had to get up for work, I of course kept sleeping until Dave walked out the door because Drax needed to go out and wanted to be fed. I started my day early at 7:30am which was kinda good because Drax got a walk in before it got to 40 degrees.

The rest of the day was a write off, I didn’t do much, I didn’t even workout because I was so sore today. Tomorrow I will be back at it but I did get a 2k walk in tonight with Drax before it got dark. I did attempt to make a mask for myself since the ones I ordered have yet to show up so at least I have one for now. I was thinking of going to a coin car wash tomorrow to clean my car and then NOT park in my parking spot since the tree I park under RAINS down berrys, twigs and bird shit. I also need to vaccum all the dog hair out of the car so there isn’t too much build up of it. That might be the plan, not sure yet.

That’s all I got today.

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Sixty-Seven & Sixty-Eight

Day Sixty-Seven.

The weather has been hella nice lately but it’s slowly getting extremely hot. My Dad was home from work so Dave, Drax and I loaded up the car with my tires and the family and drove up to Hillsburgh. My Dad changed my tires over for me and we had lunch while the dogs played around all afternoon. My Dad has two dogs, a red fox lab and a bernese mountainn dog; the lab minds his own business but the bernese is a grumpy old man but Drax doesn’t mind really, he just loves having dogs as big as him around.

Eventually we drove back home and everyone was tired, Dave and Drax napped and I just did small things around the house until it was dinner time and Drax’s late night walk.

Day Sixty-Eight.

Today was a productive day, I went grocery shopping since last night Dave and I noticed our fridge was completely empty. Grocery shopping alone is meh but I did get to take my time and figure out stuff while I was there. I just like having someone push the cart. I came home, put the food away and then worked out. Today I did some pilates that I completely suck at and I’m super out of shape! Once working out was done I deicided to make a sandwhich because I didn’t want to make the apartment hot since it felt like 37 outside! Laundry was 30mins after lunch which is annoying, I absolutely hate going up and down! Laundry goes something like this: I live on the 6th floor, so I go down to 1 put clothes in the 4 washer, go back up, wait 30mins to go back down and put them in the dryer, come back up to hang any clothes I didn’t want to dry, wait 50mins and go back down to get the dry clothes and folding is always a pain!

I hung out until Dave came home, we made dinner, walked Drax around 8 so it was cool enough for him and now were hanging out watching some Netflix. Pretty productive day and now I’m super tired!

That’s all for today.

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Forty

BIG 4 0!

Today marks 40 days in lockdown/quarantine/whatever you want to call it. Slowly but surely I’m going crazy and super bored, even Dave is bored and that never really happens.

This morning was the usual routine Drax wakes me up by laying on me, he gets fed, I water the plants and we go on our morning walk then I made breakfast. At some point I had energy and decided to go on a 2k walk with Drax but he still wasn’t tired! I swear he is the only dog that isn’t sick of walks.

Today Dave and I watched 2 movies and 2 episodes of The Last Dance since they came out today. Go check that out especially if you miss sports.

Not much else was done today, I did decide to wait on the plant update since the stuff Dave just planted hasn’t sprouted yet, maybe tomorrow I’ll update on the sunflowers!

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Fourteen

April Fools you can all go to work now!

When you put lotion on your hands and they instantly go red and burn like crazy because they’re so dry. Quarantine life!

This morning Dave had a zoom meeting so I walked Drax and attempted to keep him quiet. After that we walked Drax a BUNCH today. This dog is passed out! Normally he’s all in my face wanting to play. His life is literally eat, walk, shit, sleep, repeat. Living the dog dream.

This morning I worked out and watched Dave struggle to workout (he’s lazy lol) I did side planks, hip thrust, lunges, pushups, lunge pulses, and Russian twists. You do each exercise for 30 secs with minimal breaks in between. After you’ve completed all the exercises you take 2 mins break then repeat 3 times. It’s simple but effective! Plus 13,000 steps later helps.

I cleaned my house again and finally vaccumed so now the floors looks clean again. That’ll only last until tomorrow though because dog life! Not much else was done besides hanging out playing Animal Crossing (the old one, I wish I had the new one but expensive!) And dog walks.

COVID-19 Layoff: Day Two

Welp, the highlight of my day was my dog walking into a pole this morning! That’s saying a lot about how my day went!

In the morning my dog and I walk every morning after he wakes me up. At one point there was another dog on the other side of the YMCA driveway, my dog Drax, was walking but looking back. Me being a dumbass was looking at what he was looking at then, BAM I hear and saw the tail end of my dog walking into the pole. I couldn’t help but laugh! He looked at me and shook it off, literally. He’s fine, he has a very hard head.

I probably walked my dog 4 times today so he’s having a good day! Not much has happened today, I decided to deep clean part of my house and I’ll do the rest later on. The rest of the day was putting our puzzle together!

With day two the boredom has really set in. I definitely felt myself going stir crazy, which is hella sad because it’s DAY TWO!

Side note, my neighbour just dropped off homemade bread and it’s fucking delicious!

That’s all for now folks, tune in for more fun adventures!

Life Happens When You’re Busy Making Other Plans

HEY everyone, missing MIA blog girl here. I’m here to explain why I haven’t written a blog post in a very long time.

Reason No. 1 I bought a car! This was months of searching and testing and I finally bought one, Kia Optima! It’s amazing and the freedom is great but bills are not.

Reason No. 2 I (sorta) moved in with my boyfriend, so for awhile I didn’t have my laptop (not to mention my laptop broke for awhile) and I’ve been busy making dinner, working and cleaning.

Reason No. 3 Work, work, work, work, work! In my line of work the closer you get to Christmas and New Years Eve the crazier work gets and that’s exactly what happened in my life.

Reason No. 4 My boyfriend and I got a puppy! His name is Drax and he’s the cutest little monster.

He is currently 5 months and 45lbs, he’s going to be huge but he’s a big cuddle monster and power chewer that takes up all my time.

That’s it! That’s my life, that’s what I’ve been up too. Sorry for the very late post and I will try to keep at it!
