Holy shit 51 days!
When I started this I really didn’t think it would be this long. This is the craziest thing that’s happened and telling the future generations is going to be funny. You know how older generations say they had to walk a mile, in horrible weather conditions to go to and from school? This is going to be our verison of that story – being outside was illegal! It’s a whole situation, no but really this is history. This is literally history in the making and it’s crazy. This will literally be in history books in the future so we can learn from this and it’s crazy to think about. All the essential workers are killing it and I want to take this time to thank them!
It’s also insane to think about what the future will look like. For example, I’m a hairstylist, I’m going to have to wear a mask, face shield and gloves, only have one client at a time (which is unheard of in the hairstyling world) and so much more. The world is going to be germaphobes and me being a 90’s kid that’s like unheard of. I’m apart of the generation of chicken pox parties and eating dirt because it’ll help my immune system. The world is terrified and that’s what terrifying.
The good part about all of this is that being in quarantine gave the world a chance to breathe. I’ve seen so many posts about all these animals coming out, pollution is down and the ozone holes are closing. This is a good time to reset, think about how we’ve been treating out planet like garbage and do better. One of my new years resolutions was to be more eco friendly and I’m slowly doing that. It’s a process since money is an issue when it comes to these things but give it time and I will get there!
I guess you just need to look at the positives and try not to go stir crazy, I know my mental health is being effected so I know others definitely will be too. I absolutely hate being bored, it’s the worst thing for me and my family knows that. Just keep going, keep busy even if you feel like all you do is clean your kitchen! (Why the hell is it so dirty all the time?!?)
That’s all I got for today!
